Terms of service

These are the terms you agree to when you use Dash. We have tried to write them in plain words, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.

Last updated 27 July 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Who these terms are with

Dash is built and operated from New Zealand. "We" and "us" mean the operator of the service reachable at godash.nz. "You" means the business that subscribes, and anyone you let sign in.

By creating a workspace or using Dash you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to.

2. What we provide

Dash is job management software delivered over the internet: quoting, scheduling, a field application, purchasing, timesheets, safety paperwork, asset records, invoicing, reporting and accounting sync.

Every feature is included in every plan. Plans differ by how many people can sign in, not by what the software does.

We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you depend on, we will give you reasonable notice and, if that materially reduces what you are paying for, a pro-rata refund of the unused period.

3. Your trial

New workspaces get 14 days free with everything switched on. No credit card is required to start. If you do nothing, the trial simply ends and we do not charge you.

4. Paying for it

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance, in New Zealand dollars unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Prices exclude GST.
  • Each plan covers a maximum number of users. If you need more people, move to the band that fits.
  • Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits worth 5% of the plan price. That allowance refreshes monthly and does not carry over. Credit you purchase separately does carry over, and is drawn on only once the monthly allowance is spent. We notify you at 80% of the allowance and again when it is reached. If all credit is exhausted, the AI features pause until you top up or the allowance refreshes; the rest of the service is unaffected.
  • Introductory pricing, where offered, is held for 12 months from the date you subscribe. After that, price changes take effect at your next renewal and we will give you at least 30 days' notice in writing.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • If a payment fails we will try again and let you know. If it stays unpaid we may suspend the workspace after reasonable notice.

5. Refunds and cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-used periods unless something has gone wrong on our side, in which case talk to us and we will sort it out.

6. Your data is yours

Everything you put into Dash, and everything created from it, remains yours. We claim no ownership of it. We hold it to run the service for you, on your instructions, and we do not use it for our own purposes or to train machine-learning models.

You can ask for an export of your contacts, jobs, quotes and invoices at any time, including after you cancel. How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

7. Our software is ours

The Dash software, brand and documentation remain ours. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them while you are subscribed. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source.

8. What we ask of you

  • Keep sign-in credentials secure, and tell us promptly if an account is compromised
  • Only put in data you are entitled to hold, and meet your own privacy obligations to your customers and staff
  • Do not use Dash to break the law, or to store material you have no right to
  • Do not attempt to disrupt the service, probe its security, or access another workspace
  • Do not resell access, or share a single sign-in between several people

9. Things we connect to

Dash integrates with services including Xero and GPS providers. Those connections are made by you, under their terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or pricing. If one changes its interface in a way that breaks a feature, we will do what we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee a fix.

Xero Payroll support is currently New Zealand only.

10. Availability

We work to keep Dash available and take daily backups with off-site copies, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may take it down for maintenance, and will give notice where we reasonably can. The field application is built to keep working offline and sync when coverage returns.

11. Limits on liability

Dash is a tool. It does not replace your professional judgement, your accountant, or your legal and safety obligations. You are responsible for checking what you send to customers and file with authorities.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data where you could reasonably have kept your own copy.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot be excluded. Where you acquire Dash for business purposes, you agree the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply.

12. Ending it

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or if payment stays outstanding after notice. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.

After termination we keep your workspace for 90 days so you can take an export, then we delete it.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the application. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel before it takes effect and we will refund any unused prepaid period.

14. Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
